I served on Fearless in late 90s. Many of the senior ratings had served in the Falklands, and we mined them constantly for information. There was a memorial plaque in the main mess commemorating the loss of a landing craft and it's crew. Wars are odd and rarely planned for. If you have time to prepare, then so does the enemy.

The Argentinian army specialized in toppling civilian governments, kidnapping and torturing citizens, mistreating conscripts and various forms of stealing and corruption, which left them ill prepared to actually fight against a professional army. They were also convinced that the US government would provide them with political cover and there would be no actual military confrontacion.

I think there may be some parallels to the current Russian war against Ukraine.

Great job by the British, no doubt.
