Thanks, that’s an insightful read.

I think you are discounting the current ability of precision guided weapons a bit in terms of successful attacks. And air-only attacks shouldn’t be graded just on their chances of achieving victory. Degrading an opponent’s capability to conduct offensive strikes is a good thing, and if it has to be done over and over, so be it. We should have used that approach in Afghanistan.

One thing I wonder about is what if the IRGC and local police facilities are targets as well as nuclear capabilities? Might destroying the regime’s ability to control the population open up the door to a successful revolution?
